I saw this post about a dating service for cheaters while writing a website review. They even have a billboard that says “Life Is Short, Have an Affair”. This website helps married couples get even with their cheating partners by providing a way to connect with other people who are according to their site, “seeking romantic affairs and discreet liaisons”. A quick browse through the site will tell you that it definitely falls under the quick guide to cheating category. What’s sad is the site has lots of satisfied clients and apparently getting bigger every day.

What a sad, sad world we live in.

We’re not talking about cheating on your high school or college boyfriend/girlfriend here. We’re talking about actively looking for someone who can ruin a marriage and change a kid’s life forever. Granted that your marriage sucks big time. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Finding someone else to boost your ego, fill that empty space or whatever crap people say when they cheat won’t help you fix your marriage.

I personally know a lot of people who had/has an affair. They have enough reasons and excuses that if you’re not thinking straight, might lead you to believe that they are doing the right thing. So the other person makes you happy and complete. So what? What about your husband/wife that you promised you will love and cherish? What about your child? What about your self-respect?

Infidelity only looks cool and sophisticated in the movies and TV shows. In real life, it’s just a quick means to forgetting who you are and a long hard road for the family that you’re about to ruin.
