After re-visiting Stardust last month, I’ve decided to give Neverwhere a try. At first, it was pretty boring but the minute that I learned about that this is a story about two worlds, (London Below and London Above) I can’t help but become interested again. On the next pages however, I found out that the story is also about rats and asked myself, WTF. I don’t want to read about rats. I hate them. They live on our ceiling and roam around the house at night. Still, I gave the book another try. It’s all good now. The part about how Richard and Anesthesia can feel the “darkness” touching their skin and giving them nightmares while they were trying to cross the bridge terrified me a bit. To think I was reading in a room full of sunlight.

I’m not even 25% done though so I can’t really say anything more. Right now, I’m just enjoying it while I can. And I love the book cover too. I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but there’s something about book covers that tells me if the story is going to be interesting or not.
