When we moved in to my mother-in-law’s house, we had to redecorate one of the bigger rooms to make it look cozy. My favorite buy was this wooden blinds that looked exactly like the one on this photo.

It gave our room the much-needed upgrade and complemented the light beige walls perfectly. I planned on buying two more sets when we move to another house this year but when I checked our local store; it wasn’t on stock anymore. I searched the web then to find some Wood Blinds and came across the BlindSaver.com site.

I particularly like the Hunter Douglas Country Woods at $116.75. The blinds have this LiteRise Lift cordless system that allows you to raise and lower the shades with your finger. I always have trouble pulling cords on blinds that this is a welcome feature. Plus it’s so much safer because the little girl just loves playing with cords and you never know what might happen. The site offers so many options and styles and even offering free color swatches to make sure that you’re buying the right colors. Aside from wooden blinds, I’m also looking into getting some vertical blinds to block the sunlight in the afternoon and some mini blinds for the kitchen.

I know the blinds will look great in any room. I’m still in conceptualization stage right now because I have no idea yet what our future house will look like.
