Save on Print
Posted on March 28th, 2008 | by dzoi |Another thing that I want to invest on is a high quality printer probably from HP or Epson. I’ve tried their photo printers and was very satisfied with the quality. The thing is that the ink can get really expensive. I’m planning to use it for design brochures and letterheads so I can see what the color looks like when printed. Also, I’m trying to save from printing pictures and scrapbook layouts by printing them myself. I have about 2000+ photos and 20 layouts so do the math.
I’m looking at the possibility of using Compatible inkjet cartridges and toner cartridges. I checked this website called Inkers.com and tried to compare the rates for genuine HP toner cartridges. The difference is huge, about $50 depending on the model. For tri-color inkjets, the branded version will cost you $34.95 while the compatible version is only $19.90. I’m a firm believer of you get what you pay for especially when it comes to gadgets, electronics, computers. However, I can’t stop wondering about how huge my savings will be if I go for the generic ones. The site offers a 100% guarantee against defect plus a 30-day no questions asked return policy so I’m willing to bet my money on this. Thirty days is long enough for me to test the quality especially if I try to print at least 50 photos a day.
