Schedules and toddlers

My company is reviewing a few video conferencing systems because they want to cancel our old one. There’s a big conference call this coming May so we need to test the quality for at least a couple of weeks. I haven’t attended any of these meetings, except phone conference, because they usually hold it around 10AM Pacific Time. This May however, they are hoping that I can join them because the client would want to discuss his design strategy including the site flow.

Aside from this big meeting, I’m not expected to attend anything, to which I’m very glad. The thing when you’re working from home is you have no control of your schedule. Sandy will always barge in our bedroom the least expected time, and almost always, she will decide that she desperately NEEDS me while I’m talking to my boss. Since the recent death of my laptop battery (LOL), I just can’t afford to move from room to room. So if she’s sleeping, there’s no way that I can use VOIP for fear that she might wake up. Sandy sleeping is my most precious moment because that’s the only time that I can focus at work whether I’m designing or writing.
