CMS Junkie?
Posted on April 29th, 2008 | by dzoi |I’ve been working a lot on learning new CMS applications (with a little prodding from my boss) and because of this, my hardisk is about to burst from too much software. I have three versions of Wordpress, four social networking sites in Boonex, one test site in Drupal and one unfinished installation of Joomla on my local. Guess I really need that Mac book after all.
Anyway, I’m currently busy learning these two apps. Learning it is one thing but to master it? I doubt it will take a few weeks of tinkering to call myself a master.
Drupal is pretty easy but I feel like it needs more functions and plugins. I planned on putting up a website in Drupal just to check how far I can customize the skins but got disappointed because of the lack of cool plugins. And talking of cool plugins, Joomla seem to offer all that and more so we’ll see what will happen. I need to be an expert on open source CMS really soon, my work depends on it.
