Summer is almost over

I’ve been scouting the net for cheap packages but my heart is just not in it because of the weather. I don’t want to waste money on a weekend getaway when all we’d do is stay inside our rooms. I should’ve scheduled something nice last April!
Anyway, the bright side is we can put the money away for a bigger trip probably on Sandy’s birthday. And if we won’t go anywhere this May, perhaps we can do something nice on my birthday this coming June. As much as I want to go to the beach, May and June are known for rainy afternoon showers so it’ll just have to be Tagaytay or Baguio.
Having said all that, I’m still frustrated and a bit bummed. I’ve been going to the beach four times a year since I was a kid that staying at home during summer is very new to me. I feel bad for Sandy too because she’s also excited to go swimming.
