Garage Days

I overheard Sherwin talking to his UK-based cousin the other night. From what I could discern; his cousin had just purchased an automobile (a Ford Fiesta, if I remember right) and they were having a laugh at how it was when one had a car but no place to park it. Esther, Sherwin’s cousin, told him that parking really was starting to be a concern over there, and that majority of once sprawling suburbs were now severely cramped. I suggested she try to find parking slots for rent/sale, as I recalled having run across something of the sort over the internet. I did a quick search for a rent a garage service and found this. We led Esther to the web site and luckily, it was of good use to her. There were two garage facilities near here (Worcester, I think), and she said the rates were fairly reasonable–which the company claimed were cheaper than daily-paid car parks (Esther has yet to do the math for this). Other plus points were: the service offered guaranteed, and more importantly, safe parking, but she especially liked the 5-day and 7-day options as she liked to travel and was often on some road trip somewhere.

We’ve not gotten word whether she did get garage space, but she’ll be coming for a visit next month so we’ll just ask her then.
