A Scrap About Me

I told you it’s all about me today.

Here’s a layout I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks.

I’ve always been a busy girl even when I was a kid. I go to art classes, dance on school programs, join lots of contests, travel to paint and just basically enjoy life. But when I became a mother, all the things that I love to do have taken a back seat. I heard an old woman told her pregnant daughter, “Your life is not your own anymore” and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve
started to envy my friends who sleep all day, stay out all night, change careers, and do anything they wish at the last moment.
When people look at me now, they only see a mother. Someone who cares about snot and poop, worries about fever, whose only
excitement in life is when baby clothes are on sale, and talks about preschools and potty training. I won’t be surprised if people think that mothers are the most uninteresting people on earth.

But I don’t care. Who said I can’t have both? All the things that I want to do are so much more enjoyable now that I can share it with my daughter. I am a mother but I’m still me.

    Nicely done :D I agree with the sentiments, sometimes I wish I can have a week “off” being a mother but when I get a day “off” I miss them like crazy already.

    same here aggie. i always ask for more time so I can focus at work but when i’m working, i miss sandy naman and wish i could play with her instead.
