To get away everyday
Posted on June 3rd, 2008 | by admin |There was a post in newlywedsatwork about a mom who’s obviously at her wits end. She resigned from her high paying job so they can move to the province because of her husband’s work. Now she’s on limited allowance and had to take care of two kids alone. Not so bad, but if you’re used to pampering yourself and having ME time; the scenario could be best described as hell.
Anyway, this post is not about that. It was inspired though. Ever since The Husband and I started going out, we have this dream of moving out of the city to live somewhere quiet and far. The first option was Batanes (we were young and foolish) but later on, we settled for Baguio. It’s still a faraway dream but not as impossible as Batanes. Of course, I’d have to keep my home based job until we can put up a business there. Clubbing days are over so I won’t miss much. I also prefer the company of my husband and my daughter more than anyone that I see the three of us strolling in Burnham, having a picnic or simply enjoying the view while we eat breakfast from our porch. It probably won’t be as simple as that, I know. Starting a life in a far place where you don’t even have any friends or relatives can break a marriage. There are also expenses to think about, what kind of business to manage, school for Sandy, house hunting, etc. Still, it’s a nice thought that I entertain every other night when sleep eludes me.
