When in Rome

Rome is the one of the many places that The Husband and I love to visit someday. If only we knew how costly it is to raise a child, we would’ve gone there when we were childless. Now, it’s much more expensive because we don’t have the heart to leave the little one. Anyway, the reason why I remembered Rome is because I’m currently helping my friend from London in planning her honeymoon. Someone from the travel forum raved about their
Rome city breaks experience last year so I checked the website that he mentioned. The site is called Directline Citybreaks and what they do is offer very affordable vacation packages combined with the most inexpensive flights or Eurostar tickets. They have a special section for city breaks in rome wherein you can read on general information about the city, how to travel, entertainment, places to stay, weather and other tourist information like holidays, exchange rates, time zones, language, emergency phone numbers and embassies.
What’s great about rome short breaks is that even a casual stroll on the street can leave you mesmerized and awed by various quaint cafes and wine bars, beautiful Baroque squares and fountains, old chapels and other historical sights. As for me, we’d love to experience dining in an authentic Italian restaurant and stuff ourselves with the best pasta and wine that the city has to offer. Aside from food, another thing that makes me want to visit Rome is the palaces and churches just to take a gander on popular artworks that I only see in books and web sites. According to the site, all these can be done even on the shortest city break. This is what everyone’s looking for especially those who just take advantage of three-day weekends.
