The Monster Machine
Posted on August 19th, 2008 | by dzoi |It’s time to upgrade The Husband’s laptop. Their company’s perquisite is about to end this coming September so we’re thinking of trading it to a higher model. This is what we’re looking to get HP Pavilion dv9843WM.
The original price is about $2,000 but I found a cheaper version at Buy.com. It’s a reconditioned unit at a sale price of only $999. Knowing how certified technicians have tested and ensured that the unit is in like-new condition, I consider this a steal even if it’s a refurbished product. Besides, $999 is cheap change for any laptop that runs on 2.1 GHz Core 2 duo processor, has 320 GB HD, 4GB memory and high definition video. Plus with a Buy.com visa card, you can even get an additional $30 less.
There are a couple more items worth checking out at Buy.com’s weekly deals. In fact, I’ve already blogged about my plan of purchasing the 21.6″ Samsung LCD and my mom-in-law’s 8.9″ ASUS laptop. The deals change everyday though so I recommend you grab the deals while they’re hot. On the other hand, and this I say for people who still need to work on their budgets like me, something new might come the next day so it makes sense to wait.
