Affordable Prescriptions

While we’re on the subject of health, I stumbled upon this site that offers patient assistance programs. I immediately wondered if something like this is available here in our country because there are lots of families and old people who will benefit from this kind of program. What these programs do is help those who cannot afford to buy their medications. Most especially, they cater to low-income individuals and families who are uninsured. Now that I think about it, maybe it’s the same with generic drugs or discount cards that can be used to reduce the cost of medication. I remember when my mom got sick and told me how much her prescription drugs cost, I couldn’t believe her. The drugs are so expensive it’s no wonder some people choose not to take any especially if they are maintenance medication just like my mom’s. It really makes me thankful that my family can afford medication. I even had this belief before to never buy cheaper brands because they might not work as efficient as the expensive version. The Husband told me they’re all the same though but still, I try to stay in the middle price just to be sure.
