We often take advantage of the fact that we have 24/7 help around the house. But whenever our helper takes her monthly two-day off, that’s when I realized how much we need her to set order in our house. I can live without a maid, that’s for sure. However, if you need to work from home and then take care of a toddler at the same time, you just have no time to be a domesticated goddess. So kudos to all our helpers. They definitely make our lives easier. I can’t say the same for my friends in the US though. The best that they can do is hire maid services per hour or per day. Some says the rates vary on the number of rooms and how big your place is. In my opinion, the cleaning services are more thorough because they are working on a per hour basis. Plus they usually have this checklist of items that they need to do in order to meet client’s satisfaction. Whereas if they live with you, they tend to put off other household work because they know they can always attend to it another day.
