Reading Is Good For You

There’s a thread in the yahoogroups for book suggestions so I thought I’d post mine here too. (My favorites, at least) I just love books and how they can easily take you away someplace else. I used to buy tons of paperbacks, but lately, I just download free ebooks or swap paperback novels online. I have tried downloading free audio books too but it wasn’t the same as reading the words.

So back to my list.

The Classics: Catcher in the rye, To kill a mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice

Genera Fictionl: The Alchemist, Eleven Minutes, Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coehlo

Chic Lit: Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella, Can you keep a secret by Sophie Kinsella, Jemima J by Jennifer Weiner, Mr. Maybe and Good in bed by Jane Green

Fantasy: Harry Potter 1-7, Twilight Saga, Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice

Mystery: Time Traveler’s Wife, All Nick Bantock books most especially the Griffin and Sabine Trilogy.

Romance: (my guilty pleasure) Montgomery books by Jude Deveraux, Only You / Almost Heaven / Something Wonderful / Whitney My Love by Judith Mcnaught, The Malory series by Johanna Lindsey

Heavy Reading: Unbearable lightness of being

I have so much more on my list plus a thousand that I would love to read and own in the future.
