The webhostingpal.com website offers side-by-side comparison of what they think are the top web hosting companies in the market. The list gets updated every six months to give way to other companies who deserve the top spot. Sites like this are on top of my bookmark list because as a web designer, my clients sometimes leave it to me to choose the hosting for their site. On some cases, they even ask me to add it to the web design package so I always make sure that I’m updated.

27|Feb|2009 1It’s true that competition is driving down the cost of web hosting and in the end benefits the consumers but most hosting companies require clients to pay of 2 or 3 years to get a discounted rate. In your article, you stated webhostingpad and how they offer $3.96 for a 3 year pre-paid plan. I have probably moved 3-4 times before settling for the web hosting company. That’s why people should look very hard before they decide to settle for the company. Currently, I am using Chimehost because they don’t require 3 year plan and i am paying monthly fee of $4.95 and getting unlimited space and bandwidth.
