This is how I’m spending it – blogging, working, designing and studying. We are launching a huge website next week so I was asked to put some time over the weekend. I agreed but I said I won’t be able to come in except at night. I have family obligations which means I can only give 4-5 hours a night, tops. So instead of working immediately, I took a nap after our weekend house hunting because I haven’t been sleeping properly for days. Plus my mind wasn’t really ready to work yet.
When I checked my emails this afternoon, I was surprised to see that my expected tasks are worth2-3 days of work. There’s no way the tasks will ever get done in two days (48 hrs). I was planning to squeeze in some sideline projects this afternoon – need to design a gift card and install a review software for a blog but I guess that’s totally out of the question now. You think? But I’m not panicking. In fact, I’m taking it easy and just letting my mind slip into work mode. These are the days when I feel like I’m Bridget Jones where she tried to write a 1000-word article from home. She kept putting off work because it seem so easy and the next thing she knew, it was already 9:30 PM and hasn’t started anything yet.
Well, I know better not to let it happen to me.
