I have this fear of getting bored and running out of things to watch on TV. This rarely happens because I’m always busy with work but last week, I had to relax and stop working. Luckily I have the Season 1 and 2 of Gossip Girl at my disposal. With Sandy’s cooperation, I finished the two DVDs and now couldn’t help but want more. I’m still not crazy about Serena but I’m so glad I gave this series a chance.

The lives of the rich are pretty predictable but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy it. However, it’s Rufus and Lily’s love story that’s really making me watch episode per episode. They have separate lives yet they are always connected no matter what they do. I still smile whenever I remember the scene where Lily saw Rufus playing a song on stage again. The expression on her face was so priceless, it was filled with so much longing and regret.

Love that last episode too (from my DVD at least) with Rufus meeting Lily on the train station, only this time he’s the one without the luggage. It sucks that my copy was incomplete because I was dying to know about Lily’s secret. And no, I wouldn’t research about it because I hate reading spoilers from the net. I want to find out about things while I’m watching it.

I saw this from the net by the way:

You know you are getting old when you start to fancy the dads more than the young male star!  Is it me or is Dan from Gossip Girl’s dad, Rufus, much hotter than his cute but small-headed son?

Gawd, there’s just no contest. Rufus wins! Plus I don’t feel comfortable crushing on 17-year-old characters unless we’re talking about Nate Archibald. Now that guy is growing on me.
