Girlfriends Rule!

I’ve forgotten how nice it is to spend hours doing nothing but talking with friends. For the past two years, it seems that my social life is limited to online only. But now that Sandy is already a big girl, I can leave the house anytime I want. For two straight Fridays, I didn’t spend my nights watching movies on my iPod or reading ebooks. I went out, ordered great food, had amazing conversation and suffered headaches but it was all worth it.

My remaining friends from College. Three of them are in the US now, Novie included but she came home for a quick visit so we decided to have dinner and catch up. I got sick for three days after this. I guess I’m not used to going out in the rain anymore! We’re all mommies now except for Teta (bottom right) but she’s getting married this year and already planning a baby. Told her to enjoy her married life first before designing birth announcements as it may take awhile before they can have a proper date again once they become parents. Whenever I see these girls, I kept remembering our careless days. I kept forgetting that we’re wiser and older now. We are raising kids and managing an entire household after all!

Then last Friday, as stated on my last post was my lunch date with Aggie, Litzie and Kathy.

If the topic(s) weren’t that interesting, which I assure you they are, the food was such a wonderful surprise that I didn’t mind waiting for a cab for an hour to get to MOA anymore.

There was a reason why Aggie and Litzie looked like that on the left photo. But you have to be there to know. It’s just not something that can be discussed online because you need to see their reaction in person ROFL. We discussed a lot of shallow things but as always, I saw another side of these ladies that I’m sure would be unnoticeable if I only talk to them online. With the number of secrets revealed, I can safely say that they are not just my online buddies now, but real friends that I can turn to when I need money (?BWAHAHAHA), if ever I’ll have enough trouble to burden them with, and most important of all, when I want to forget that I’m a responsible adult and don’t have the luxury to talk about silly things anymore.
