Last Sunday was another all-girls day out. My girlfriends (since College) and I have decided to try out Wensha Spa near MOA for a change. There was supposed to be four of us (originally six, two of them are in the US now) but Dolly wasn’t able to make it due to some reasons I can’t disclose LOL. Anyway, my first impression of Wensha was that it’s filled with Koreans. I was a bit disappointed because I was hoping that since we’re earlier than usual, the place will not be packed. The parking was full and the lobby had a short line. Still, it didn’t stop my heart beating fast hoping I’d see a Gong Yoo look-alike. :D

The line in the lobby took some time so we spent it taking photos and checking out the services. After a few minutes or so, we we’re booked to have a one-hour full body massage with all-day buffet up to six hours at Php680 ($15) per head.

Cameras are not allowed by the way so excuse the next batch of photos as they were all taken quickly. If you want to read more, click the link.

After we changed to Wensha’s slippers, we went to the dining area (see below) to sample their buffet. Food wasn’t that special, a combination of cooked dishes and hotpots, ice cream and unlimited drinks. The chairs are good for relaxing and just hanging out, though. They are very comfortable and you can spend hours there either chatting with your friends or watching TV.

When lunch was over, we took a quick shower and went to the pool area. Teta (pictured above) didn’t think she can stay inside the wet or dry sauna so she just stayed outside where it’s colder.

Wensha is far from The Spa, amenities-wise but the saunas were awesome. I could literally feel my headache oozing out of my forehead and going away permanently. I was also amazed seeing people walk around naked. Women of all ages are lounging in the sauna or swimming in the pool wearing nothing at all. Now I understand why you can’t take photos! I believe there were only a few ladies like us who were covered with a towel. After the sauna session, we had the much-awaited massage. I can honestly say that the massage I had was by far the best. I found myself being lifted up in the air and stretched on all sides. My first thought while I was in the air was how I wanted to take the masseuse home with me! I wish they can provide a nicer music to give the rooms a different feel though.

After the massage and some more chatting inside our room, we got hungry so we took advantage of the buffet once again. Yes, you can eat anytime but make sure you don’t leave any leftovers as you’ll be charged Php100 per head. This time, the food was much better and they even added pizza slices.

We ate outside which was much nicer and cozier than the dining area. These photos were taken around 4:30PM which means we’ve been there for four hours and a half already. When you’re done having a massage, you can spend the remaining hours taking a dip in the pool, hanging out in the sauna or eat and talk like we did. The rate allows you to spend up to six hours at Wensha so it’s really very affordable. I would pay Php700 to have a massage like that again even if there’s no food or pool.
