Thanks for all birthday greetings and get-well-soon messages. Sandy is now fine but still needs a lot of rest. She won’t be coming to school until Friday so we are trying to keep her busy without getting too tired.

If you read my other blog, you’ll know that we spent the last four days in the hospital having her blood checked. She was more than willing to go to the hospital, thanks to Medical City’s not-so-hospital ambiance. She also looks forward to Starbucks and eating at the Harry Potter restaurant (Pancake House) and didn’t mind the CBCs at all. As soon as the extraction is over, she’ll say “Mommy I’m very hungry”.

Although her platelet continued to go down, I was happy to see that she’s looking better each day. She doesn’t seem to be displaying any dengue symptoms except for the rashes. She eats well and very active too so I had a feeling we won’t have to spend more time in the hospital. Thank God I’m right. The doctors said she could’ve had a mild case of dengue and that we should keep her hydrated with plenty of rests.

My four-year-old looking very happy and pretty.

When she found out that she’s not sick anymore, her first comments were “Now I can have a party, hooray!!!”. My thoughts exactly, sweetie.
