Had lunch at The Sizzlin’ Pepper Steak last Saturday with Sandy and The Husband. We noticed this new restaurant at Glorietta 5 when we ate in Sbarro a couple of weeks ago. The steaks that were served in a hot sizzling plate covered with cardboard box was just too intriguing we just had to try it. As soon as we were seated, the server handed The Husband an order form and asked him to fill it out.

Thinking of his order. Seriously, he wasn’t posing here :D

Kani salad – shredded cucumber on a bed lettuce, Japanese mayonnaise topped with ebikko

Sandy loved the sliced cucumbers and japanese mayo. She almost finished this on her own.

For Sandy’s order, we got her Fish and Chips, which she also devoured with much gusto.

Mine – Beef pepper rice (bestseller according to the menu). Thinly sliced beef, seasoned with cracked pepper, garlic butter with teriyaki sauce

It tasted just like every beef teriyaki that I’ve had in the past. Still very good though for its price but I probably should’ve ordered something with curry instead.

Served in a hot plate covered with a cardboard. You’ll have to turn over the meat in a few minutes so the other side will be cooked evenly.

The Husband’s – Cubed beef steaks and hamburg special sauce. Now this I loved! I’d get this the next time we eat at Sizzlin’ Pepper again.
