If there’s one reason why I’ll go back to Balay, it’s their food. It’s soooo good I could still taste them. The rate per head comes with five meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks.
When we arrived at Balay Indang, we were asked to come back to the dining area at 11:30AM so we can have lunch. I admit I was so excited based from other blog posts that I saw and I wasn’t disappointed.
The main house where the dining room is also located.
The pasta was too salty for me but the ingredients are fresh so it’s all good.
LUNCH SET: (Forgot what they’re called)
Garden salad with nuts, peaches | Carrot rice
Shrimp | Roast chicken with ground pork and raisins
Lumpiang ubod | Tuna with wasabe
PM SNACK: Arrozcaldo and soda. I was a bit disappointed on this one because I was expecting a halo-halo or mais con yelo. Still, the arrozcaldo was good even if you’re not crazy about eating something hot.
DINNER SET: We loved all of these! We just couldn’t help but ask for refills.
Shrimp cakes | Garden salad with strawberry vinaigrette this time
Stuffed Bangus | Embutido (soooo good)
Giring giring (or was it gising gising?) Shrimp with kangkong bits and cream | The best suman I’ve ever tasted
BREAKFAST SET:
Cheese omelet | Adobong chicken
Galunggong | French toast
Assorted fruits, hot choco and hot coffee
AM SNACK: Apple tarts and Buko tarts
