Finally, we were able to use the vouchers for the 11-Course Modern European Degustation at The Establishment. I bought it for P995 (valued at P1,998) via Deal Grocer just in time for my birthday two months ago. But sickness and other important matters happened which is why it took us this long to use it.
I was very excited and had my hopes up (mainly because we were starving) so I was a little disappointed that the dishes were too small (I know it’s just a sampler but I was hungry!), some are cold while the others can be skipped altogether. Still, for the price we paid, I could say it’s still very good. I grabbed some photos from this blog post (please visit his blog for detailed info) since my iPhone didn’t stand a chance on the too dark Crystal room. We loved the goat cheese and truffle mousse so much we ordered a regular size because the sampler barely reached my throat.
Degustation is a culinary term meaning a careful, appreciative tasting of various foods and focusing on the gustatory system, the senses, high culinary art and good company.
