Saw this with friends over the weekend. I was so excited after carefully reading all the reviews. Carefully, meaning I tried to skip over the parts where there are spoilers because I want to experience it without knowing what will happen next. It was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed how short it was. Good thing we got the tickets at a 50% off. The music was pretty amazing but it can get a bit loud. My heart was thumping so hard I wasn’t sure if I could take it anymore! I’m a bit claustrophobic at times so when they started lowering down the plexiglass for the water show, I had to grab the husband’s hand to calm myself. The water show was great! Definitely worth the price. The other scenes, you can’t help but dance with them. I’ve always liked shows where the crowd goes wild with the performers but only if EVERYONE does it. Which was exactly how it was last weekend. Everyone was on fire, jumping and dancing. Feeling scared and excited. It was really a feast for the senses. Dream-like scenes, surreal movements, trance music at its best.

Rough Seas
As lovely as the ocean is and as much fun as Fort Myers apartments are, there is still some danger in this area. Fort Myers is located right on the Atlantic and occasionally gets hit by hurricanes and other tropical storms. Since the turn of the 21st century, both hurricanes Charley and Wilma hit this town hard. Any given year there could be another hurricane because this is an area where warm fronts and cold fronts clash.

Great Climate
Listening to thunder on one out of four days and the occasional hurricane notwithstanding, the weather in Fort Myers is terrific. The winters tend to be short and mild, while the summers are hot and humid. The area is classified as a tropical savanna by many experts. When the average January temperature is 64 degrees Fahrenheit, this is far from hard living.

Lots of Sports
There are two teams that practice in Fort Myers: the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox. Both teams have been practicing in the area for years during spring training, and they have an interesting little rivalry going on. Both teams have actually eyed the same training facilities, including Hammond Stadium.

Also, a lot of famous athletes have come from Fort Myers. Some of the biggest names include Deion Sanders, Terry-Jo Myers, Mike Greenwell and Stacy Carter. No doubt the weather around Fort Myers encourages the local youth to exercise outside almost every day.

Low Crime
Naturally, any city that’s warm almost every day is going to have some degree of crime. Criminals like places where going outside is comfortable, but there isn’t much serious crime in Fort Myers. The greatest risk you might face is having your car stolen or your apartment burglarized, and that’s a good reason to have plenty of insurance on what you own.

Fort Myers Florida has its issues, like all cities do. But it’s a great place to live where the crime rate is quite reasonable, the sports are exciting, and the weather is usually mild. Choosing to live in Fort Myers will put you in a great place where you won’t have to worry about much. Just be sure to have plenty of sunscreen on hand.

As for the said trek, it was a very tiring 3-hour climb and an hour and a half 4×4 rough ride back and forth. It was painful and although the view was pretty magnificent, I don’t see myself repeating the trip any time soon. I’m glad for the experience, that’s for sure. But to go through it all again? I’ll have to think about it in 3 or 4 years.

• Before the race, you will be given a belt with 3 flags attached to it. These flags represent your health.
• During the race, zombies will be scattered across the course to eat your brains… err get those flags. One zombie can only get one flag from you.
• Any physical contact (punching, kicking, scratching, tackling, spitting, hadukens, flash kicks, etc ) between zombies and runners will strictly not be permitted.
• Throwing objects of any kind are also not permitted. May it be rocks, branches, sand or even dirt.
• Violators of these rules will be escorted out of the premises with no refunds
• There will be obstacles in the course where you can choose to go through to attain additional health flags.
• There will be instances where you have to choose either the easy way, or the horde way
  Easy way – less zombies but longer
  Horde way – more zombies but shorter
• Upon crossing the finish line, you need at least one health flag intact in order to be eligible for prizes. Should you lose all your health flags, you are still allowed to finish the race and your time will be recorded but you shall be considered “dead” and no longer be eligible for prizes.
• If you find yourself out of health flags, you are not considered a zombie and are not allowed to start pulling at other runner’s flags.

Two weeks ago, I was busy reviewing important documents about equipment leasing when a friend sent me a tweet message. I wasn’t going to check it out because as I said, I was busy. But then the alerts kept popping up at the bottom right of my desktop. Curiosity won, I checked and guess what? I won two tickets to the Mamma Mia! Musical. I didn’t think I would win because I never really win contests such as these. But I still sent my entry several times just in case. Sandy adores ABBA / Mamma Mia and she was heartbroken when I told her the tickets were too expensive.

But yeah! To cut the story short, we are definitely watching!! Wuhoooo! I literally jumped, screamed and high-fived Sandy as soon as I learned. So this is how people feel when they win something big. What more if I won the lottery, eh?

I’m such a huge Santa fan and this is just way too amazing for me. I always wish to provide Sandy and Meg happy Christmas memories the way my parents did when I was a kid. And this one definitely gave Sandy a Christmas night to remember. If you’re interested, you can watch it here too.
