Seriously now. We just saw Varekai of Cirque Du Soleil last weekend. I was speechless – so many emotions ran through my veins that I almost felt like crying. Seriously. It affected me in such a way that only art can do. Only books have made me feel this way and that was when it was so good I’m afraid to end it. Would you believe even my daughter was saddened by the fact that the show was about to be finished? I wish I could watch it again but the ticket prices are so high that it would be too much spending. If someone can get me free tickets however, that’s a different story.

Last Saturday, we met with our long-time friend Teresa for brunch. She only comes home once a year so I was pretty excited to see her and her son, Nico. The gang was almost complete too, with their kids in tow. However, the husband and I decided not to bring our kids since Meg was still recuperating from roseola and we didn’t want Sandy to get sick as well.

Some photos of what we had. The artichoke (New Orleans) was to die for while the lamb (Clawdaddy’s) was pretty good too.

Just seeing the much-loved artichoke here makes me want to go back there and order two!

Anyway, I really should help her organize her work files. They are all saved under My Documents so I hope her Windows will not crash or else, she can just say good bye to all her documents. No matter how many times we tell her to save them in a folder in her hard drive, she just nods and totally forgets to do it. I’d be happy to create the sub-folders for her except she could have her own working system and it might just ruin the way she runs things.

So blessed. You rarely see these words here but it doesn’t mean I don’t feel  it. For someone who wasn’t crazy about kids, I’m just hopelessly inlove and obsessed with my two girls. And I’m betting my two months’ sideline earnings that The Husband feels lucky to have us too.

These girls had a Biggest Loser contest a few months before the wedding. I didn’t pay attention to it that much so I was shocked to see that one of them lose a total of 20 kilos! No treadmills or diet pills, she just stopped eating. It was so unhealthy that a doctor had to give her potassium just so she can stand up. But anyway, now that she got her dream weight, she made a vow to start going to the gym again and eating healthy. Well, that was after I told her she could get all the weight she lost in a month if she wouldn’t alter her lifestyle.

Too bad Novie and Lhen weren’t able to come home from the US. It was our promise to each other that we’ll never miss each other’s weddings but that’s life for you. At least, there are four of us left which couldn’t be that bad. I just hope we’ll see each other more! Scheduling a simple dinner is so hard when you have kids and work to worry about.
