I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements for profire yoyo lately. So much so that even Sandy would like to have one. I told her she’s too young to learn the tricks but she insisted as she finds it “pretty cool”. Just to make her stop, I got her a $1 yoyo and as expected, she got bored after an hour. The husband tells me that if you always buy the cheaper version, it wouldn’t work as nice. So it will result with Sandy not liking it. This was his stand when we were shopping for guitars for her. She may not like the sound or the feel of the guitar if we settle for a cheap one. I agreed just because I couldn’t find any loophole in that argument. For other things like a yoyo, perhaps we can settle just to see how she’ll take it.

A Tween’s Room

Sandy saw some vanity tables online and told me this is what she wants for her graduation. I wasn’t surprised at all knowing how she loves to fix her hair and put on make up, whenever she’s allowed. The problem is her room is too small for a traditional vanity table. I’m hoping I can find something that she can also use as a study table. I know we have lots of options including having one made so I’m not worried. I do want to surprise her though so I’m keeping this a secret until I find the right supplier. I’m pretty excited to do her room now that she’s showing interest in sleeping there again.

Here’s one happy girl. Thank you Ayala Malls again for our free tickets. We just loved everything about the show! From the colorful costumes, great singing and funny acting, amazing dance numbers and productions. I would love to see it again but might get an earlier slot. 8PM is too late for Sandy and she’d probably fall asleep if she wasn’t a die-hard ABBA fan.

Christmas Story: To Be A Kid Again

Last December, a friend suggested that I make a video message for Sandy (from Santa) at portablenorthpole. I was expecting the usual generic message so I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was way more than that. You can upload pictures of your kid, choose your wish for her and display her accomplishments. I had goosebumps while I was watching the video. The first time I heard Santa say, “Hello Sandy!”, I could already imagine the smile from Sandy’s face.

I’m such a huge Santa fan and this is just way too amazing for me. I always wish to provide Sandy and Meg happy Christmas memories the way my parents did when I was a kid. And this one definitely gave Sandy a Christmas night to remember. If you’re interested, you can watch it here too.

Below is Sandy’s photo as she watched the video message from Santa. She was covering her ears because she was afraid that she wouldn’t be on the nice list. And as for her hearing Santa say her name, she didn’t smile. She was so shocked and looked at her cousin, as if asking if she heard Santa right. Priceless.

Disney on Ice – Let’s Celebrate

I wasn’t planning on watching this but when I saw how much fun my friends and their kids had, I just knew my little girls will love it. Now the problem is the husband is out of town and Araneta is too far from us. When we watched Disney Live! last September, traffic was crazy and I just don’t want to go through all that unless it’s the husband who’s driving. I really hope we can find a decent driver who can take us there so I can surprise Sandy with this show. She deserves it for being such a great big sister to Meg and also – I do want to see the princesses myself.

The Oscar – Party Photos

Sharing some of the photos from our previous party. The Husband dressed as Elwood from Blues Brothers, myself as Holly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Sandy as Cher from Clueless and Meg as Danny Zuko from Grease. We were supposed to get her a leather jacket but couldn’t find one so we just rolled up her sleeves. It was fun even if we lost the best in Costume award plus we were able to test our mobile studio, which was as expected, a huge hit.

I’m finally done researching Howard medical computer carts. Now it’s time to look for some outfit for Meg’s party in June. I wanted for Meg and Sandy to have matching outfits but realized at the last minute that the day is for Meg so she should have her own dress. I could match Sandy’s outfit instead

Perhaps I can visit Baby Fashionista soon. Just lovin’ this zebra print dress but I doubt if the Husband would approve.

I need to remember to ask the husband to get me some audio video cables. I finally found Sandy’s baby TV (portable video player) and I will need the cables so we can use it in the play room. Since we can’t use the DVD player in our room all the time especially when Meg is sleeping, the play room is an option for Sandy and her Papa. I can have Sandy stay there on her own without me worrying if she’s doing okay since that room is just across ours. Thank God we had Meg when Sandy’s old enough to entertain herself. If she’s still 2-3, I have no doubt I’d be crazy by now.
