A very late post I know. Still, may I say that this is just the most fun wedding party I’ve ever been to? The only rule is that there are no rules! hahahaha. Just eat to your heart’s content, get drunk and be merry. I wasn’t able to take advantage of their overflowing booze but I am contented with my mocktails. Seeing friends, staying up late and just being totally irresponsible for a few hours is enough for me.

Let me blog about the recent parties before I go search for auto insurance again. Ours is due this April and we’re thinking of signing up with another company either to save or increase the benefits.

Anyway, back to the parties. I and 25 other ladies from MBAPs, Twitter met with these two lovely ladies from the US.

The whole day was chaotic and filled with fun and laughter. To give you an example, here’s one of the silly shots with some of the girls. It’s also my favorite, so far.

I couldn’t remember eating so much food in one day. My stomach felt like blowing up, not just because of the growing baby but from too much rice, lengua, chicken pastel and hold it …. mango bravo.

And here’s my latest photo, thanks to Aggie. Huge at 5 months yet happy to note that my nose hasn’t expanded yet.

I wish we can have meet-ups like this every month. Not mentioning the amazing raffle that Glo and Trin held consisting of cosmetics, bags, wallets, bath and body products and a DKNY charm watch which Peachy won, thanks to her lucky charms.

Thank you girls for the lovely party! We’ll definitely miss you. Good thing we have twitter so it always feels like you ladies live a couple of hours from us.

Mail Junk

Got a life insurance quote again on my mailbox this morning. I stopped requesting for quotes 4 months ago and yet they kept coming now, when I have no need for it anymore. This reminds me to clean my main mailbox. It’s filled with Wordpress moderated comments and Facebook alerts that it’s hard to separate personal emails from junk anymore. I’ll have to look into creating rules in my Gmail if that’s even available.

Gadget Addiction

Whenever I see new gadgets from a friend and learn how cheap they got it from circuit city, I
want to turn back time and take advantage of their past sale. Two of my online
friends asked me if I wanted to shop with them just before they close their shop
for good but I hesitated. Now, the too good to be true deals just kept hunting me.
I hope I can get equally cheap deals now at Buy.com too. I really want a new
machine, a portable hard drive and upgrade our video camera.

Random Disneyland Photos

The character parade – every 3PM. Find a good spot by 2:30PM or you and your kids won’t be able to see a thing.

Shows: The Golden Mickeys and Festival or the Lion King (no photo)

I was so mesmerized with The Golden Mickeys especially the Beauty and the Beast part. It was sooo good and just plain magical.

The fireworks every 7PM at Sleeping Beauty’s castle. No photo too. We ran out of batteries so we just enjoyed the sight. It was so worth it though and it’s better to watch it without worrying if you’re getting a perfect short.

Things I’d Rather Not Talk About

Death or disease. Not even about Mesothelioma treatment, or any medical procedure you’re going through. It’s downright depressing for small talks when you can just chat about the weather, food or the latest movies.

Salaries, promotion, recent acquisitions. Problems at work or even gossiping about your colleagues.

Marital woes or how you think your boyfriend is cheating. Remember, we’re talking about “small talks” here which would mean we probably don’t know each other that much.

Politics or religion. This goes without saying.

Your stand on abortion, gay marriage or death penalty.

Eating and more Pictures – Disneyland HK

It’s rare that The Husband and I get to have photos together when it’s just the three of us. But now that Sandy’s older, she’s learning how to take photos properly. Just look at her attempt below.

And before I forget, let me post some of our Disney eats here. I still find most of them expensive but I guess you pay what you get. We (or is it just me) can’t live without rice!

For example, Sandy just finished eating a hotdog meal and corn on the photo above. But after watching the Lion King show for 30 minutes, she got hungry again!

All Out

Saw some really great packages from Blue Cross NC today. Seeing health plans and insurance packages made me wonder when is the best time to get an educational plan for our 2nd baby? I remember we got Sandy’s when she was barely five years old. This means we’ll have to purchase before November at least. Just thinking about it is stressing me out. There are so many purchases this year not mentioning the hospital bills when I give birth, baptism party and Sandy’s birthday. Whew! No time for breaks I guess.

Our HK Disney Trip

Just thought I’d share some of my most favorite photos in Disneyland (taken by the Husband, of course).

I just love walking on Main St. The brick floors, small shops and quaint restaurants are just beautiful you can’t help but wonder if you’re in a dream. Well, that’s what Sandy said when she first stepped in Disney.

New Job

I feel so lucky that I found a stable employment a couple of months before the baby comes out. The Husband doesn’t call it luck but hard work though. I agree. I’ve been working hard and whenever I design a website, I give it my all as if it’s the only client I’ll ever have. The result – outstanding work and happy clients. That one client was so happy he offered me a full time job. At first, I was hesitant to accept because I’ve gotten so used to my freedom and weird hours.

But after some careful consideration, I realized we’ll all benefit from a stable income now that we have a new addition in the family. 2010 is such a good year for me. And if ever I lose this job, I’d know how to get back up because I’m very good at freelancing. Unlike before when I’ve gotten so used to working with a company for years that I didn’t know what to do when I suddenly found myself out of work.
